Director of Information Technology, 01/2017 through 10/2017. Contract 6 months which was then extended for 3 more months.
I was asked to come back in order to get the Information Technology back into Compliance and to provide proper operations and to make it a supporting department. Apparently, the personnel that had been brought in after I had left, had made quite a bit of messes financially, operationally, non-supportive, and I was heavily sought after to come back. I engaged in many conversations with the management, teams, and political powers on that I would consider it; if a new hotel was part of the re-organizational structure.
It was promised to me that a new hotel was part of the new project structure. So we all did much planning, engineering, and design work. These were put into place for this much needed facility.
Then the plans for the new Hotel were taken out. So I versed my concerns about not wanting to stay at the helm since news of the hotel was punted…and to not continue to try maintain operations with such outdated equipment, software, and systems. They allotted me to hire my replacement position and key technicians before I did leave employment there.
