Joseph starts his career in the technology of the HSBC group. During his career, he plays different roles from developer, application supports, QA manager, project manager and business analyst. Gradually, he transitions into leadership positions from Development Manager, Lead Solution Architect, to Director of Program Management and Business Analysis. He managed the product roadmap for Global Wealth Management and successfully initiated multi-millions worthed projects for revenue generation, process improvement and sales quality control delivered to Asia Pacific, Europe & Middle East, and North America. After working 20 years in Global positions, Joseph relocated to Canada and joins various local Canadian Banks, fintech, and management consulting, continues to help companies and organizations to delivery programs, improve process, and provide consultancy to help deliver digital transformation and projects. Joseph after managing a development team and taking up a solution architect role, he directed a team of 14 PM/BA in HSBC managed the product roadmap of the Global Wealth Management Technology supporting over 40 countries in the group. In addition, with his management on an annual portfolio of USD$30mil, he delivered solutions successfully to France, Canada, UAE, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong streamline and enhanced processes of retail brokerage, financial planning, customer dashboard, and Sales performance accelerator. When he works for BMO, Joseph delivered various complex projects on credit cards, insurance, corporate systems and other infrastructure implementation with proper financial considerations when decision making and planning. He provided strong consultancy to fintech on project management process improvement and project initiations. Delivered software solutions in cooperation with external partners, including Manulife, Assurant, Visa Cards, TYS, Deloitte, etc.

Accomplishments:

Insurance Migration Led and drove the Insurance migration project to integrate BMO with a new Insurance underwriter of Credit Card Balance Protection through direct collaboration with the Managing Director of LTO in technology. Successfully migrated the data and operations from Manulife to Assurant in 4 months meeting the deadline bounded by contract.

Visa Card Product Introduction Lead program delivery of multiple teams for introducing Visa Card Elite products to retail customers, pilot in a 12-month period. Successfully control the budget and cost spending and managed multiple project teams of a workstream of 32 technology teams of 170+ staff with a $2M budget. Planned and facilitated design and development activities, controlled the budget, managed risks and issues, and collaborated with BA, Architects, Development Leads, QA, and PM of multiple workstreams for the B2B SaaS integration with VISA Cards, Apple Pay, and TSYS.

Robotics Automation Led junior PMs in delivering the RPA Robotics Process Automation project to BMO Harris in USA to automate processes and eliminate human involvement as part of an ad-hoc assignment during the middle of the project right before Christmas. Re-planned the project in Dec and Jan and successfully delivered the Workfusion platform in SIT with vendor solution (Deloitte) before handing it over to Associate PM to complete the implementation.
