I currently work here as a Mental Health Trainee 4 days/week. I am doing this for my practicum course through my graduate program. I work directly with students as their wellness therapist. My job includes creating session notes, organizing their files, and having therapeutic sessions with them. I additionally offer substance use counseling as part of a suspension diversion program for students struggling with substance use. I implement different styles of interventions and do crisis management as needed. I am hoping to get more hours with families and couples, as well as expand on my experience, which is why I am seeking a second internship site.
Teacher at Belvedere Hawthorne Nursery School (BHNS) Tiburon, California

I am currently working as a nursery school teacher at BHNS once/week. I help with curriculum, prepping, and planning. I also help support children with their emotional and physical development. I engage kids in imaginative play, activities that help with their gross and fine motor skills, as well as creativity. I work in a classroom with 2–3-year-olds. (This job will be ending within the next couple weeks to open up my availability.)
Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) at Southern Oregon ABA Medford, Oregon
January 2020 - August 2020
I worked as a RBT with children between the ages of 2-5 years of age who were diagnosed with autism and sometimes had additional developmental delays. I used Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to help with behaviors and different developmental and social functions. This job included in home visits as well as inputting data and using data analysis to track client progress.
Teacher’s Aide and Head Teacher at Sarah Corson childcare center (SCCC) Medford, OR
March 2018 - January 2020
I worked as a teacher’s aide in a PreK classroom with children between the ages of 4 to 5 years of age. We would also join with the preschool classroom often, and those children were around 3 to 4 years of age. I would also work as a floater teacher when I needed to sub for a teacher who was out, that is when I would work in every classroom (working with kids anywhere from 6 weeks to 5 years old). Later on, I was promoted to a Head Teaching position where I worked in the infant room. There I was in charge of infants between the ages of 6 weeks to one year of age. I worked in the infant room from June 2019 to January 2020.
Each of these positions required a lot of energy and creativity. I would help with decorating classrooms, feeding, engaging in circle time, and engaging the kids during outside play or inside play.
Teacher’s Aide at Family Nurturing Center (FNC) Medford, Oregon
March 2017 - March 2018
I worked as a teacher’s aide at FNC for a year, I volunteered for a about a year before getting hired on. I cared for children who came from traumatic backgrounds including poverty, abuse, and neglect. Many of the children were involved with the program through foster care. I worked with children between the ages of 2 to 5 years old. Every child I worked with had some sort of developmental delay. I had to de-escalate difficult situations consistently and do hands on crisis work as needed. I helped to keep myself, staff, and the children safe by working together with my supervisor to provide a safe and structured curriculum.

I have basic computer knowledge including the ability to use PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Spreadsheet, as well as other applications. I am a fast learner, skilled typer, and organized note taker. I also know how to input and analyze data.
I am a people person who enjoys listening and empathizing with others. I can understand and relate to different people, and I do well with constructive criticism.
I believe in staying professional and calm, even when it’s a challenge or crisis. I am an empathetic, social person who enjoys supporting other people. I am a good listener and communicator; I believe in working well with others, and I try to keep a positive attitude even when feeling overwhelmed or stressed.
I have attended residency through my master’s program where I role played being a Marriage and Family Therapist. It was an intensive program where I learned a lot of valuable information. I learned how to interact with clients and used systemic skills to counsel them.
