DAVID TURNBOW
**********.**@*****.***
SUMMARY
I am a person who is committed to helping others. I like to work in a positive environment and look to find empathy in everything. I love to learn new things from others and I like to solve problems in the best way, being compassionate and empathy with enthusiasm. I consider myself a committed and determined man to improve the lives of others. I worked 6 months at Volunteers of America Men’s Detox Center. I chose this detox center because I was in the same center ten years ago. By my own experience I can help others because I have been in the same situation. Nowadays, I’m involved in all aspects of recovery communities, have given talks in VOA always looking for opportunities to help make a difference and be the person who is needed. I consider myself an example of love and redemption.

I am privileged to write this letter on behalf of David Turnbow and in support of his efforts to obtain a peer support certificate. I have known David for a little over eight years and have found David is a highly committed man that is determined to improve the lives of others with special attention to the least acknowledged members of our community, the addicted homeless, the addicted. David’s compassion has been evidenced time and time again as he works to restore hope in the lives of all that he meets within our local recovery community. The relentless effort and boundless energy that he demonstrates has been inspiring. After many years within our local recovery community my own motivation and compassion has been renewed by David’s enthusiasm. David has worked closely with me in helping individuals live healthier lives and find treatment. He has been a support to myself and those who know him within our community. I have marveled on many occasions how a man who has battled the challenges that he is faced in his life still remain so profoundly optimistic and dizzy after about life. But I found is that his care and concern for his fellow man is genuine and born from his own trials and tribulations. If there is an individual alive that is what the peer support specialist is designed for it is for David Turnbow, he is a living, breathing example of love and redemption.
Respectfully
Brian Tease
