Housecalls Home Health - Office Assistant/ Scheduler September 2016 to Present Daily Responsibilities
Using Excel spread sheets to track and manage doctor referrals for patient scheduling. Also manage all the doctor’s information and NPI numbers to ensure it’s accurate in our system that our patients. I am also required to send doctors documentation to the patient via fax or mail. Use Homecare Homebase HCHB to manage the patients visits for our field clinician schedules anything from nursing, Physical and Occupational therapy cancelling or rescheduling. Submit weekly care charges to payroll using HSHB software. I also use HCHB and Forcura systems for patient chart development and management. Perform daily chart audits with HCHB system to verify all the patients orders and medications are properly documented for the patient so that it can go to billing. Responsible for patient insurance verification and scheduling with revenue cycle group. Assist with inbound office calls and directing them as needed. Inform our customers with policy and procedures we have in place to address their every need and care we provide. Organized and managed client transports to activities, community job coaching and daily living skills. I was a AMAP approved medication administrator to work under a registered nurse to administer daily medications as clients needed and communicated nursing staff of client concerns. I taught CPR and first aid. Also trained new hires on policy and procedures and how to properly operate medical equipment with clients to ensure safety on securing and stabilizing them in the equipment such as wheelchairs and hydraulic lifts found on the equipped vehicles. Completed weekly billing an milage logs that were required to be turned in for each client under care.
