I have been working at the V.A. as an RN for more than 4 years and the majority of my patients have mental health diagnosis. This is the reason I decided to specialize as a PMHNP. The idea to provide an integral care with the goal of consistent and safe tools to improve individuals’ resilience, was the most complimentary way to reach mental health improvement on my patients. I’m very familiar with the Psychiatric medication protocols, follow up, adverse effects, and what to look for post medication treatments. Creation of Mobile Health Unit in response to the geographical and cultural isolation of the rural population in Miranda, Colombia. This unit was integrated by different healthcare professional, the goal was to provide holistic healthcare to the population (1995).
