I am not originally from Texas, but from Colorado. I have 42 years' experience as a nurse, 22 of them as an RN. I have done everything from IVs, PICC lines, wound vacs, foleys, wound care, and many invasive procedures. I have been assigned to med surg floors when the ratio was 1:24. I have experience in ICU, ortho, medicine, surgery, home health, ER, and supervisory positions. When I worked for home health I did a SOC 146 time in one year. In the military, I was senior instructor for the Army's EMT program. I taught everything from IVs, foleys, NGs, and all invasive procedures.
