EXPERIENCE
JANURARY 2024 – FEBURARY 2024
PRESCHOOL TEACHER, KINDERCARE
Started off first shift would begin the day by bringing the children into the classroom and deliver them breakfast. We would engage in free play for 30 minutes and then half a short circle time were the kids actively engaged in music time, and story-telling. We would discuss topics about what the day entails and the weather and any important updated information. We would participate in art therapy, and music time. We had learning centers were the children would have different tasks to play with such as building blocks, and puzzles. The children would eat healthy meals and snacks throughout the day. We would help the children learn through different lesson module plans created by the teachers. Students would learn developmental skills such as language, physical, creative thinking, and emotional reasoning over the course of the month by the lessons planned developed and all the engagement and activities we had scheduled throughout the day. I would close the classroom down by cleaning it up and prepare it for the next morning.
JULY 2023– SEPTEMBER 2023
TRANSPORTER, CARE LINC
Care Linc would serve various clients throughout the Lansing and Howell areas. My roles and responsibilities were to first receive my chuffer’s license. I had to learn how to operate heavy truck. Once that was completed I then learned all the various machinery, what they were for, and how they worked. I learned about the billing department and how Medicaid covers the client’s equipment and once they were done with the service we would go and pick up the equipment and return it back to the facility. I learned how to load the truck in an organized and secure fashion and in a timely manner and learned to map out the routes that were most effective to get the most deliveries done by the end of the day. From there we would deliver equipment to a number of facilities and in home settings. We would greet the clients, speak to them and get to know their concerns and teach them about the equipment and then set up the equipment so it was ready to go for the client’s first use.
JULY 2022
POOL TENANT, CEDAR CREEK APARTMENTS
Supervised the pools policies ensuring that all residents and accompanied guests were taken checked in, and accounted for. We would make sure that all procedures were followed and handled with caution. Allowing the guests to have a pleasurable and fun time while using appropriate behavior at the pool.
FEBURARY 2022

DISHWASHER, SOUP SPOON RESTURANT
Would maintain the regulation and make sure the restaurant kept going by bussing the dishes and taking them back to the kitchen to wash and sanitize them off and return them back to their station for the waitresses and cooks to be able to provide a meal on their plate. The skills required to maintain the restaurant to keep operating required attentiveness, detail to organized fashion, communication, and completing the tasks in a timely manner. DECEMEBER 2020– JUNE 2021
REHABILITION TECHNICAN, EISENHOWER CENTER
Worked in a variety of settings. The heavy lifting and transporting required a lot of physical labor. Roles included assisting them with completing physical therapy needs. Transporting clients to and from appointments and speaking with doctors and behavioral analysts to discuss where the client was and what they would like them to complete during the week. We would do fun activities during leisure time like listening to music, watching movies, playing games, physical therapy activities, going for walks, going to outings. The job required light duties in cleaning, and home cooking. Bathing, showering, grooming, changing their patient’s briefs and helping their mobility to get around the center was a primary task while making them feel comfortable. Passing out medications was another task that was administrated by the med passer and we would assist them in any concerns they had. Assisting them in their bed time needs and helping them feel ready for the next day to take on the tasks they had prepared for them. The skill set required a lot of supervision and stepping up when the resident had a safety issue. JANURARY 2019– JANURARY 2020
PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST, STEPPING STONES ENGAGEMENT CENTER Work Clients would come In seeking services to help with recovery concerns. The client’s population consisted of those struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental disorders. They would come in to a greeted and friendly demeanor and we would start off with doing an intake assessment. Once completed and the person passed the requirements they were then able to talk with peer supports, and case workers to standardize a treatment plan they would cooperate with over the course of their stay and hopefully beyond the center. We transported clients to locations such as AA, treatment centers, shelters and we would do light center chores such as laundry, and cooking. We would get to know the clients in a friendly way by actively working on papers the allowed them to work the steps in recovery. Also by watching movies or playing games. We would set up meetings once a month for speakers to come in and speak on behalf of their experience. We would hold meetings about different topics of substance use and mental co-occurring disorders every week so they could come in and participate. We worked with neighboring partners to service the needs of the clients such as finding stable housing and placement after coming out of a traumatic event and a big part of what the intake assessment was for was to couple them with a therapist through community mental health so they could receive the services and treatment plan they needed in order to move forward in their recovery process and get well.
