Environmental, Health & Safety Intern – Remanufacturing Plant Project 1: Updated Safety Data Sheets (SDS) on MSDS online after surveying Floor, Tool Crib and Chemical lab for all chemicals present on site – Resulted in bringing the site under compliance regarding SDS, many expired and hazardous chemicals discovered in the flammable cabinet which were then discarded by appropriate means, corrected behavior of employees working on the floor about using flammable cabinets for required chemicals. Project 2: Inspected functionality of E-stops present on all equipment on site as an E-stop failure has resulted in a Near Miss incident – All E-stops were inspected during which few E-stop failures were discovered and fixed thus making the site safer.
Project 3: Created a Job Safety Analysis for GP compressor Assembly line – To make the assembly process more ergonomically JSA was created in which there was a change in the procedure of introducing screws in the rotor housing.
Project 4: Conducted Monthly safety training on various important safety topics – Increased knowledge and improved behaviors among employee by holding training sessions on various safety topics. Project 5: Completed Record retentions for EHS documents for the site - Obtained Retention policy for Ingersoll Rand from their SOP procedures. Extracted retention policy pertaining to EHS and segregated documents based on the policy resulting in increase in Site compliance during Internal Audits. Additional responsibilities included:
