Rockwell Collins, White Marsh, MD 2003 to 2007

Principle Account Manager

Established and Managed EW-SIGINT accounts within the US Government, prime contractors and friendly nations. Prepared proposals to develop new solutions for customers concerning COMINT, ELINT and Electronic Warfare needs including CIED, US Army Prophet, USQ-146 V(5) and EA-6B aircraft communications jammer. Responsible for business development efforts totaling over $50M.

I was the Midwest Sales Region primary interface with the EW-SIGINT Group of Rockwell Collins. This territory covered 22 states and South America. Products included receivers, up-converters, demodulators, antennas, jammers, signal monitoring and ELINT subsystems covering HF to 110 GHz. The largest program was the RIVET JOINT aircraft upgrade for L-3 Com and the USAF. This program was worth >$30M. My previous sales region was the West Coast of the US and Asia.

Business Development Manager

Directed a team developing rugged MS CE XP computer and PCMCIA measuring products. Largest account was the US Army TMDE Group.

Agilent Technologies, Huntsville, AL 1999 to 2001

Channel Partner Program Manager

Responsible for sales through alternative market channels such as VARs, OEMs and System Integrators. Maintained a focus on hardware and software sales to aerospace and defense industries. Equipment types included hardware for surveillance, radar and avionics test. Managed sales activity working through distributors for the communication test market.

•Expanded Signals Intelligence system sales.

•Trained RF Telecom engineers in RF and microwave measurements.

I lead the Channel Partner team securing teaming agreements with System Integrators, OEM’s and VAR’s for military and commercial test equipment. The team was able to develop new business in USAF by using their specialized market expertise to win the B-2, F-16 and B1-B ATE. This business grew to >$25M per year.

Hewlett Packard, Huntsville, AL 1991 to 1999

Business Development Manager

Directed technical teams to pursue long term opportunities with U.S. Army and NASA customers. Developed and managed the yearly effort until program was won. Responsible for demonstrations, customer meetings, responses to request for proposals and post-sales support. My position later moved to the new company, Agilent Technologies, which was split off from HP.

Managed an engineering and sales team that won a large US Army MIL-SAT-COM communications program worth over $100 million.

District Manager

Prior position at HP was as a District Manager for USAF and INTEL managing a group of 14 engineers and support persons. Sales were over $35M per year.
