Work Experience

PLE Machine Operator

Coca Cola-Auburndale, FL

February 2009 to July 2023

Show up to work 15 minutes before shift starts to get pass down from previous shift. Put on proper PPE to be safe and meet OSHA standards. Get all things such required for the job such as safety knives, locks, and pen. Operate machines that I was operating that day. Which could be Filler, Labelers, kisters/box former, Depalletizer, Palletizer, IPAK, and/or Lanteck. I was the break relief most of the time so I would have to operate multiple machines each day. The filler tasks daily was quality checks hourly, drive forklift, issues caps into SAP, and trouble shooting. The minor trouble shooting part of the filler could be bottles not correct at the infeed of machine, infeed worm out of time, star wheel out of time or bottle jammed in star wheel, sanitizer not working, cap jam in the cap shute, capper head not rotating correctly, outfeed jam at the outfeed of filler. To fix those problems most of the time would be LOTO the machine, clear the area in danger of bottles, reassuring all parts are in sync or it could be just as simple as whipping a photoeye. The major trouble shooting aspect would be a conveyor belt breaking, motor goes bad, photoeye goes bad or machine loses program. After each flavor ran on each line you would have to perform either a rinse, SIP or CIP to flush the valves of the last product ran. For the labeler the daily tasks would be hourly checks using SAP, setting up labels on the machine and performing general clean up of area. The minor trouble shooting for the labeler would be labels not going on the bottle correctly, labels not going on the bottles at all or a jam at the infeed or outfeed of your machine. Whenever 1 of these minor troubles happen you have to LOTO the machine before servicing the area in concern and fix the issue, double check your work and then start the machine back up. Some of the major trouble shooting parts of the labeler could be belt broke, infeed worm not working or machine out of timing. You can fix most of these things by removing the product from the machine, assessing the area and jogging the machine slowly. For the kister/box former the daily job duties are performing quality checks from SAP, loading trays, glue, plastic film, and general clean up of the area. The minor trouble shooting for the kister/box former would include tray jams, down bottles at the infeed or inside the machine, glue not going on the box correctly, and film not wrapping around the case correct. To fix these minor issues you would have to check the specific area in concern to see if you have the right material, right settings and/or if machine is properly synced. The major issue could be a bad belt, conveyor, motor, or photoeye. For the Depalletizer the daily job tasks are performing quality checks in SAP, unrapping pallets of bottles, using a safety knife to cut band straps and using forklift . The minor issues would include conveyor not working, bottles falling and forklift issues. The Palletizer daily job tasks would be performing quality checks, using forklift and loading pallets. Minor issues would be case coming into the Palletizer turned the wrong way, bad pallet or hoist not working. The minor servicing of the trouble shooting could be taking the bad pallet out, letting the hoist all the way down and LOTO before entering because this is the leading cause of death in a warehouse or replacing the bad case with a good case. The Lantech daily job is to perform hourly quality checks using SAP, loading film wrap and using pactrack for pallet labels. Minor trouble shooting for this could be changing out film or changing out labels for pactrack. In everything you do while at work you must do it in a safe manner because safety is your way of going home to your family the way you left the house. Education
