Verizon Wireless: 1978 to 2000 Title: Cellular System Specialist. NOC Technician, Switch Technician, cellular field technician. Maintained a large cellular system with 21 cell sites over hundreds of square miles. Maintained all power systems, microwave systems, T1’s, antennas and cellular radios and processors. Managed contract tower crews. Was in charge many times for Seattle and Tacoma Systems and was lead technician on many projects.
Nortel Networks: 2000 to 2002
Title: Wireless Manager. Responsible for 30 company and contract technicians and the and commissioning of 800 MHz and 1900 MHz wireless systems. Wrote technical methods procedure for work conducted by my technicians and acting as a technical liaison for the company with large customers (ATT and Edge Wireless).
American Network, Eugene Oregon: March 1984 to April 87
Title: Switch Technician. Responsible for technical growth of Western Oregon business and maintenance of switch T1 equipment, maintained software and hardware in a DEX 400S switch.
Verizon Wireless, Tacoma Washington April 87 to July 2021. Senior Cell Site Technician from Astoria, Oregon the Cape Flattery. Maintained cell sites, microwave systems, on call for 5 solid years.
The Washington State Patrol: Retired hired 2001, retired July 2023
Title: Senior Telecommunications Specialist. Maintained WSP Radio System over two counties, programmed troopers’ mobiles and portables over a several hundred-mile service area. Worked on system upgrades, including statewide upgrade to P25. Maintained radio sites and Quantar and GTR base stations. Maintained company vehicle. Worked with tower crews to replace tower antennas and feed lines. Responsible for keeping KVL/Crypto up to date in all radios. Worked with and tested with telco on circuit problems. Maintained Communication/911 centers. Received many citations and several chiefs’ coins.

Awards: Received Nortel’s “Top Talent” Award in September 2001 for work in Installation and Commissioning. This award is given to the top 15% of Nortel Networks’ employees. Voted Most Valuable Employee of a total Verizon system change out in 1993 involving the replacement of two large switches, 250 cell sites. The project was a yearlong and over 50 employees worked on it. Was voted 3rd quarter MVP of Northwest Operations in 1997, Was awarded Team Player Award for Verizon Tacoma General Operations in 1997, Was 2nd quarter MVP of Northwest Operations in 1998. In the Washington State Patrol, I received many written commendations and several Chief’s Coins.
