Dear Hiring Committee:
My name is Susan J. Hamilton. I moved to Port Angeles to attend Peninsula College. I have managed to acquire three degrees. My degrees are an AAT from Peninsula College, a BA in Native Studies from Evergreen State University, and an AAS in addiction studies. I will be attending Peninsula College to earn my BAS in Behavioral and Mental Health.
I have extensive experience in problem solving for customers and clients, being a liaison between the client and the agency administration, providing program information and agency policies to clients, making sure clients understand their programs and what is their responsibilities, running three, three-hour groups a week, and working with clients on a one-on-one basis for one hour every week. Our mission at the agency is to help clients no matter what the situation is. We would help them find housing, get them mental health services, transportation, and make sure they are taken care of. It can be challenging working with addicts, but it is the only job I have ever had where I feel I am making a difference.
I am well versed in working with difficult, angry, and hostile people. I have Windows knowledge and can type at a fast pace. I can stay calm in difficult situations, and I can remain calm and collected in dire times.
