CSSP-D (Global Cyber Center) - Ft Huachuca, AZ - 24x7 Associate Incident Handler (03/2024 - 08/2024)
• Used SIEM system "Elastic/Kibana" to analyze signatures and IPs both foreign and domestic that were indicative of malicious activity and that were captured by the Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) across the entire Contiguous United States (CONUS) theater and requested IP blocks, domain poisonings and signature reviews across the CONUS theater
• As a 24x7 desk, used Trellix Network Security Managers to monitor the statuses of all NIPR and SIPR IPS's for the entire CONUS theater when managers where not present.
• Performed basic troubleshooting on the IPS's, such as bouncing monitoring ports and repairing primary managers to their secondary counterparts.
• Responsible for handling all cybersecurity events involving malicious files and/or compromised systems for all sites in the CONUS theater via self-reports, SIEM data and DISA tips.
• Worked directly with the Region Cyber Center Conus (RCC-C) and directly under NETCOM
• Managed and tracked ongoing investigations of incidents via ticketing system "Rally"
• Managed over 200 active investigations daily
