SFC Oscar Sugliano Martinez
Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 1972. Enlisted in the Army Reserve Service Program in 1989 and completed Army Basic Training – Advance Individual Training – Army Paratrooper Basic in 1990. While on Active Duty was Stationed in Camp Casey, Korea; Fort Dix, New Jersey; Fort Benning, Georgia; Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Fort Hood, Texas; and various other assignments in his Army Reserve and Army National Guard Tenure. Has been on several deployments throughout his military career to include South Korea, Germany in support of Bosnia Operations; Saudia Arabia, Iraq, and various state deployments for Disaster Relief. Has been in Law-Enforcement for over 25 years, Military Operations for over 15 years, and is currently the Victim Advocate for his Army Reserve Unit. As a Civilian he is currently the Shift Leader and Supervisor for 3rd Shift in Kane Public Safety.

MSG Oscar S. Martinez is married to Rochell Lynn Martinez (Moore) and has two children, Oscar (son), born in July 1994 and has recently graduated with a Double Masters Degree and will enter the Electrical Engineering PHD program in the fall, he also has a daughter born in May, 2006 is highly involved in volunteer groups and has been nominated as dancer of the year. He has been assigned to several units throughout his tenure in the Army, Army Reserves, and Army National Guard. He has actively served as Basic Leader’s Course Instructor as well as Military Police and Infantry Instructor prospectively. Currently he is assigned as a Platoon Sergeant for HHC 535 Military Police Company and is the Victim Advocate for the Battalion. He formerly served as the Operations NCO for HHC 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade; Platoon Sergeant for D Company 118th Infantry Regiment; Instructor for 3 BN 218th Leadership Training Regiment; Platoon Sergeant for the South Carolina Recruit Sustainment Program; Squad Leader 132nd Military Police Company; Squad Leader 133rd Military Police, Team Leader 210th Military Police Company. He has had various other Leadership roles throughout his military career. He is fluent in English and Spanish. As a civilian he has had several Leadership roles and has never had a tardy or absence throughout his civilian and military career.
