Opening produce - i would go through all the product on the sales floor and check for out of dates, I rotated, and faced everything.
I ordered - i would inventory any product I already had, then I'd order accordingly to what was needed or in the weekly ad .
I unloaded the truck and put away, first I would date any new product, if it didn't go on sales floor then we put it up in our walk in or back room, with written dates.
I also cut, cleaned and wrapped product.
I did department inventory once every 6 months
I made weekly schedule for produce department employees.
I had to maintain a certain gross profit.
