Driller Responsibilities :
●- Receive instructions for drilling parameters (weight on bit, rotary table rpm, pressures and pump outputs) as well as other work procedures (type and expected life of bit, mud characteristics, bore control etc.), and ensure their correct application. Whenever deemed necessary, within the specified limits, change the drilling parameters to improve the drilling progress;
●- Receive handover for the previous shift and verify the status of operations and equipment before beginning his shift;
●Check and set up the equipment necessary for the assigned shift, i.e. drill pipes and other tubular material, x-over.
●- Operate the drawwork during drilling activities and complex manoeuvres
●- Assist rig down/rig up operations by coordinating and controlling;
●- Ensure that all reporting routines are followed and that all equipment related paperwork are carried out within his area of responsibility.

AD’S Responsibilities:
- Ensure correct alignment of well control manifolds/equipment at the start of each tour and after testing of well control equipment and all drilling tools and associated equipment are in proper working order prior to use.
- Assist in the evaluation the performance of the drill crew, perform all calculations and monitor mud system.
- Undertake maintenance and inspection of drilling equipment and derricks in conjunction with the Derrick man; assist where necessary in operation of drilling equipment within the guidelines of company policy and scheduled work program as determined by the customer.
- Assist in the training of the drill crew on the optimum safe performance of their job duties and undertake emergency duties as per the emergency Station Bill.
- Assist third party company personnel with preparation of drilling equipment used by drill crew.
- Undertake checks and inspection as per Maersk Drilling working procedures and participate fully in all safety initiatives, safety programs, safety meetings, including weekly, pre-tour and pre-job / toolbox meetings, initiating and participate in the identification of hazards and assessment of risk.

- Read and interpret various gauges and meters relating to drilling operations and assist the Driller in maintaining records and logs.
- Ensure the solid control equipment and mud-mixing operations are being monitored constantly and keep accurate records of fluid displacement when running tubular in or out the hole.
- Assist in the planning and conducting of Well Control drills and ensure Well Control emergency procedures and responses are fully implemented by competent crew.

Drilling Fluid Operator (DFO), including 5 yearly shipyard periods in Palermo, Italy. Drilled very successful HP/HT/MPD wells in Egypt for BP: SLAMAT-1 and ATOLL-1, which is deepest Mediterranean well ever (7205 M).
*Also Drilled and finished Completion on 9 Wells (West Nile delta), which is done successfully.
LDFO’s responsibilities:
Duties included:
●Use of NOV mud control systems and cyber chairs for drill floor operations, driving pipe handling and riser equipment (relieving AD)
●Use of STEP offshore mud control system
●Use of MI-Swaco auto shale shaker system 6500 with combined solids control
●Setting up drilling equipment Bloom & Voss tilt elevators, changing inserts on Bloom & Voss auto slips, changing out hydra racking system gripper heads
●Planned maintenance for all drilling equipment in fluid department.
●Monitoring all mud systems including standpipes, Choke, Kill, and Cement manifolds as per Drillers request.
●Maintenance WOM valves and Wirth mud pumps.
●OH&S inspections on derrick with any defects and hazards reported to STP.

●Acceptance/warranty of mud pumps, shakers, Cutting blowers with STP after 5-yearly shipyard inspections.
