Detailed Responsibilities
1. Team Management
Communicated with the vessel Master, Chief Engineer, other departments, and vendors for smooth operations of assigned vessels. Provided support where and when required.
Set up work goals/work plans and manage the Technical Team (Marine Engineer) to meet expectations per the organisation's competence and performance management objectives.
Formulated annual budgets for vessels fleet and oversaw costs. Analysed financial reports to find opportunities for cost reductions.
Designed and implemented technical-specific Analytical methods and operation risk management.
2. Technical (Day-to-day Activities)
Managed overall technical activities & maintenance operations in planning, repairs and inspection.
Developed PMS (Planned Maintenance Schedule) on daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly activities on fabrication, repair and maintenance.
Prepared ship condition reports for management. Reports on day-to-day about the ship’s conditions, and any untoward incidents on vessels in the fleet.
Full supervision of the maintenance operations of vessels and guide the Marine Engineer to ensure planned maintenance and other technical activities are carried out correctly and safely.
