Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Project: GC16105980 at RG plant Dukhan

Project comprises of two (2) new multistage RO’s and associated piping, two chemical injection line modification, and civil structure/pipe line supports to accommodate the new modified line and to provide proper operation/maintenance access to the valves and multistage RO’s.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Analyze daily consumption to ensure purchase requisition and purchase orders are placed as per KPI. Co – ordinate with logistic department to meet on time delivery.

• Co-ordination with all stake holders to ensure purchase requisition has the correct description of the items as per company specification and to adhere with the mandatory engineering codes and standards.

• Outlay actions to refurbish capital items, prepare budget for procurement.

• Proposal for the usage of alternate materials that meet the mandatory technical specifications in co-ordination with the engineering services for cost saving and reliability.

• Review of the approved technical drawings, quotations and co- ordination with the global procurement service buyers to place purchase order with the best available market price.

• Proposal for the disposal of surplus and beyond repair salvage items. Determines the stock of non-moving items. Initiate actions to refurbish the high value capital items, repairable spares and safety critical items.

Project:

Sadara Chemical Company, Jubail, 2nd Industrial area.

Project management team (PMT) for Sadara Project: Remediation.

Project involves Retesting (Hydrotest), Pre comm activities ( Water flushing, Chemical treatment, Air drying, Reinstatement), and handing over (MCC) of the complete inter connecting facilities piping systems.

Saudi Aramco C&UPD division (Project management consultant). BI 00668 Improved water supply qualities at Dhahran main camp.

Project involves up gradation for the RO plant with replacement of one RO skid, replacement for 8nos calcium calcite columns, modification for the related RTR spools, replacement for 7nos dosing pumps, modification for the related piping networks and cleaning/ replacement for the micron filters and subsequent conversion of raw water to sweet water for 4,500 houses in the Aramco Dhahran main housing camp, including the associated civil repair works.

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Jeddah.

Project involves up gradation of town center at KAUST. Involved in the complete supervision of chilled water piping system with chilled water pump sets, heat exchangers and the connection to District cooling system from the central DC plant to the whole town center. The project follows Aramco standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and supervision as per ITP guidelines for pumps compressors and turbines.

• Witness for PWHT as per requirements of codes and standards.

• Inspection of vessels, tanks, heat exchanger, columns, headers and reactors.

• Review and approval of QAP, ITP, manufacturing procedures, hydrostatic/pneumatic test procedures and painting procedures.

• In-service inspection of piping for movement, vibration, pinhole leaks and thickness measurement, corrosion analysis and material up gradation for suitability of service.

• Performing inspection activities required to ensure plant integrity and reliability for safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the plant based on RBI methods.

• Review turn around packages, detailed scheduled job scope for both static and rotating equipment’s.

• Inspection of piping material identification as per isometric drawings/material takes off before fabrication and coordination with PMT.

• Preparation of inspection reports detailing the works carried out, procedures followed, tests performed and their results after inspection, put forth suitable recommendations.

• Investigate asset failures and system noncompliance and prepares draft report for corrective actions.
