Position: IT Director of Applications
Direct and coordinate the IT work of the applications staff consisting of permanent employees, contractual employees, and contractual teams on special projects. Support and design ITCD Applications Architecture and Systems inventory. Provide strategic guidance and input to upper management of ITCD and Departmental leaders for policies, procedures and direction for IT and application and design-related issues. Provide support, direct, and coordinate the activities of 102 applications: Offender Based Systems, Electronic Health Care System, Law Enforcement Systems, and Identification Systems. Designed and developed Traffic Profile Database application in Access 2000 and VB/VBA. This application,
required by the State of MD, imported bubble sheet data filled by Police officers along with mainframe data for all
traffic stops, traffic arrests, and charges. Merged the data by common incident numbers to run dozens of reports.Implemented four security levels controlled by the individual user ID. Created technical and user documentation.Worked with end users to document and refine the requirements for this application. As a result of this project, AA was the first County in Maryland to fulfill the requirements.
