oResponsible for all internal audit functions across the entire organization. This involves branch, cash, ATM, RESPA, BSA, ACH, Quarterly Loan Reviews, etc.
oQuarterly reviews of the customer portfolio is done to evaluate high risk customers based on metrics laid out in the banks BSA policy.
oWhen a new product is implemented at the institution, I would review to ensure that everything that has been done, and the systems that are being used, are set up withing regulatory compliance.
oAppointed Board Secretary after six months of being with the bank. The secretary takes notes at all committee meetings and board meetings and organizes information for directors and the officers.
oCreated an internal audit error tracking sheet. This is not something that was already in existence at the bank and as part of the updates to the processes in the compliance area this was found as a risk.
oReview and update policy and procedures quarterly. This is something that is done based on a schedule that was set up to ensure that equal numbers of policies are reviewed quarterly.

oAudit internal new loans and new credit union memberships to ensure they are being opened within regulations and that all required documentation/signatures were captured, HMDA information is reported accurately, and documentation is provided within TRID regulations.
oReview S.A.F.E. Act policies yearly to make sure that the credit union is still adhering to the regulations around NMLS numbers and registered Mortgage Loan Originators. This is also a yearly review of the marketing materials that the credit union uses.
oTravel to eight different Universal 1 branches to perform an on-hand cash audit for all teller drawers and money in the vault.
Verify signage and information that is on the teller line adheres with regulations.
Check robbery kit for appropriate items and guidelines/procedures on what should happen in the case of a robbery.
oPerform CTR and SAF reviews in VeraFin to ensure that they are filed within proper timeframes and that the branches are sending over required documentation when these types of instances occur.
oCreate procedures around new internal processes to ensure adherence to regulations and to help employees take corrective action (if needed).
oCreate reports from all the different audits to see trends in error findings from year to year and to help determine areas of regulatory weakness that the credit union may have. This information is presented quarterly to the board of directors.
