INCIDENT NARRATIVE
On 01/03/2024, I Officer D. Ruffner #350 received a call at 2003 Dayton Boulevard, at McDonald's, in reference to property damage. The caller stated that two vehicles made contact in the drive-thru and requested police to make a report. The involved parties advised there were no injuries and denied a medical response.
Upon arrival, I made contact with both of the involved parties, who had moved their vehicles into parking spots. I spoke with Michael Alexander and Spencer Whaley about what happened. According to both parties statements, they were in the drive-thru area of the lot, with Whaley in line and Alexander attempting to get out of the line to leave. They told police that when Mr. Alexander was pulling out from behind Whaley, a car came through the lot with speed, causing him to swerve to keep from being hit. When Alexander performed to maneuver the front driver side of his Honda Pilot rubbed the right rear of Whaley's Ford Mustang, transferring paint between the two and causing functional damage. At that point, the two relocated to the parking spots and called police to report the damage. After collecting vehicle and insurance information from the two, I explained that a property damage report would be completed, to document the damage in the event they needed to file an insurance claim. I provided both drivers with a copy of the report number along with the necessary information to obtain a copy of the report for their records. Both involved vehicles were able to be driven from the scene without any issue.
At this time there in no further law enforcement action required in this matter. Ruffner, Dustin 0350rb 01/08/2024
