Job responsibilities:
I hired on for an accounting and marketing position, but they also needed a receptionist at the start of my employment, so I agreed to perform both jobs until the company was able to hire another employee to fulfill the receptionist position, which I ultimately ended up hand picking for my employer a few weeks into my employment. Within a month I was managing all banking relations, which included accounts receivable and payables for both sister company’s ASI & WEC. With in the following two months I was in charge of treasury operations, account initialization, reports, shipping, accounts ledger, invoicing, financial statements and year end closing reports. My other duties were as follows: produced monthly budgeting reports & everyday interactions with clients & customers inventory entry & reports. All of these functions were due on a day to day, month to month, and year to year schedule; I became a very precise and accountable employee with A.S.I. and in doing so, they ultimately gave me the option of working from their main corporate office in Yonkers, NY before I retired my services. This was a chance to touch on my entrepreneurship skills, which incorporated my experience in marketing, Sales, and customer relations. At times I even ran our 18cyd dump truck to and from jobs, and also the landfill. Our main focus of customers were residential, but we also focused on commercial and B2B as well. I shared responsibilities with advertising for this business; we used TV, fliers, coupons, gorilla marketing, and other online forms of advertising. At Junk King we prided ourselves in being one of the few companies that devoted 60-80% of our efforts to recycling and donating back to the community. This was one of my favorite career choices, yes, I co-owned this business with my husband, and though it was stressful at times I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. It was in this position I gained experience with working with vinyl, film, coatings, 12volt products (radios, alarms, etc.), and Intoxalock. I was in charge of sales, customer service, accounting and making sure all our Intoxalock customers were taken care of from day to day also dealing with State Compliance with TN. Installs and recalibration I would say my strongest skill is socializing with anyone and everybody. I am a great judge in character and take all my responsibilities very seriously. I am very organized and strong attention to detail. I have owned/operated several businesses, but I also have experience being the employee. I enjoy life and taking care of people and I treat everybody like I would want to be treated, which has served me well all of my life.
