OBJECTIVE: I am interested in research / analysis position in Washington - Baltimore MD area, wherein my 25 years of experience in Pure / Applied Mathematics and Computer Science arena can be best utilized
SUMMARY: Systems Architect/Designer/Developer with responsibility for all phases of diverse projects from the Analysis and Design to the Implementation and Test. Experience in Information and Business Systems in Insurance, Finance, Economics, Digital Imaging, Information Retrieval to conduct statistical analysis, mathematical modeling and simulation with large client/server level user applications. Good expertise in design algorithms, programming, relational databases. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills in pure and applied mathematics
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
Independent researcher, 07/2020 -
R&D Nonlinear dynamical systems and processes in fluid dynamics over irregular paths.
- Conducted research on deterministic integral and ordinary differential equations over irregular paths. Defined a deterministic integral with respect to irregular paths and study the solutions of time- and path-dependent ordinary differential equations driven by irregular paths.
- Conducted research on the initial value problem associated to the Euler equation with the vorticity concentrated on an irregular open curve. Defined an integral over an open Jordan curve and research the problem of the equivalence of the Birkhoff-Rott and Euler descriptions of vortex sheet evolution over irregular curves.
- Researched and developed computational models based on Computational Fluid Dynamics tool to analyze the solutions of the Euler equations with the vorticity concentrated on irregular curves.
Senior Analyst, 06/2015 – 06/2020
Employer: Lynchval Systems Worldwide, Inc., assignment for Policy Research and Analysis Department, PBGC, Washington, DC
Design, development and maintenance of Pension Insurance Modeling System (PIMS) that Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) uses to model the U.S. private pension system and estimate the future of the single-employer and multiemployer PBGC programs. Recent enhancements:
- Analysis and development of a mortality model rates based on studying the rates at which mortality has been improving at different ages and in different years, to forecast mortality at higher ages for pension plans at PBGC.
-Design and implementation in the multi-threaded environment PIMS Cash Flow process for pension plans and all groups of employees to stochastically simulate the rate of return on plan assets based on random assumptions affecting projected interest rates and stock and bond returns, inflation and the growth of participants' salaries and benefit levels;
-Design and implementation Data Entry Program to automatically load Form 5500 schedules from IRS Web site into PIMS database;
-PIMS Modernization to separate existing System by independent modules and COTS products.
Senior Software Developer, 10/2012 – 02/2015
Employer: Fiserv, Inc., Baltimore, MD
Design and development Integrated Reconciliation and Certification Web System Frontier and Account Reconciliation engine, a multitier application with front end based on Java / C# Services technologies and back end based on C++ to access Oracle or MS SQL Server databases, based on internal or government regulatory or legal mandates:
Development an automated process on high value items such as financial transactions and exception item resolution with account certification and auditing, provides financial control through automation of the account and balance sheet reconciliation process.
Design and development Web Application Security based on session, page and system levels.
Security Authentication / Authorization.
Design and development multilingual Frontier application based on Locale that is used in the browser.
Senior Information Technology Architect, 3/11 – 6/12
Employer: Science Applications International Corporation, Washington D. C.
Design and development the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Information Sharing strategy to lead the design of sharing information across ICE systems to ensure interoperability across Federal Government and beyond by providing architectural guidance based on National Information Exchange Model (NIEM).
Design and build the hierarchy of ICE Enterprise Data Model concepts (ICE ontology) and NIEM concepts (NIEM ontology) to establish semantic relationships between their entities.
Developed and maintained scientific data acquisition and analysis multi-threaded programs in object oriented design/programming for Embedded PC and 32 bit Windows platform using sockets technology:
-Client/Server Application for Laser Mass Spectrometry System consisted of Server and Data Acquisition Program based on Windows NT OS and Oracle DB, and PC based Analysis, and Graphical Editor client program, Visual C++, MFC, Oracle;
-Client/Server Application for Remote Micro Pulse Lidar System (RMPLS) consisted of the Embedded Server and Data Acquisition Program based on Phar Lap Embedded operating system and Windows 95 based remote Client program that access the server through WinSock interface. RMPLS Server program runs on LBC-586Plus-133 single board computer (SBC) by WinSystem Inc. with PC-104 port that provides the interface to the modem and Ethernet Card. SBC communicates with SESI Multi Channel Scaler (MCS) that is responsible for acquiring MPL laser trigger frequency and hardware statistical data, in real time through a 3-byte parallel port. Real-time Phar Lap ETS Kernel provides Win32 multi-threaded programming capability, TCP/IP, PPP, FTP, and WinSock supports.
Multi-threaded RMPLS Server program performs the following major tasks:
System Management Task, Main thread
-System Initialization and major threads creation;
-Auto-dialing up to the Internet Service Provider when boots up or connection is broken, DialupThread, Phar Lap ETS TCP/IP Device Configuration API;
-Log files task;
Data Acquisition Task, Phar Lap ETS Kernel Run-Time Library, DAQThread,
Senior Scientist, 9/2000 – 2/2010
