• Performs direct care duties as assigned to each resident in the area of activities of daily living such as: bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
• Charts all pertinent information on programs.
• Follows proper resident positioning techniques such as: lifting and transferring, wheelchair fastening and securing, and/or other positioning equipment.
• Reports any changes in a resident's behavior and/or performance.
• Provides each assigned resident with a variety of multi-sensory activities.
• Follows therapeutic feeding techniques and proper diet for each resident.
• Follows resident's assigned positioning, hand splints, AFO, and body brace schedule as directed by their therapist.
• Follows resident's assigned behavioral management plan.
• Keeps assigned resident's room neat ensuring all personal items are safely stored in th proper place.
• Stock program areas and bedrooms with linens, diapers, and gloves as needed on a basis.
• Clean equipment as assigned.
• Practices good aseptic techniques/follows infection control policies.
• Attends in-service training as assigned by the Resident Services Coordinator.
• Familiar with the PCCA Employee Handbook and PCCA Patient Care Technician l
• Assists in the training of new PCT employees.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This position is a safety sensitive position.
