Clinical Laboratory Scientist II
Execute and analyze patient specimen in hematology, urinalysis and chemistry using Sysmex, Cellavision, ACLTOPS, VItros, Roche Cobas, ABL 90 Flex Plus, Gem 3000, Vidas 3, Ichem velocity, IQ2000 Elite.
Prepare all miscellaneous blood testing such as Procal on Vidas3, Osmolarity test, pregnancy test, drug screens, ionized Calcium on Gem 3000, urine pH and Fetal Fibronectin. Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate as well as other tests like Mono, Plavix, Aspirin and PFA.
Hematology and Urinalysis:
Run CBC and auto differential on Sysmex and report results on WAM
Perform manual differential and verify RBC and PLT morphology on Cellavision
Make and stain slides using SP-10's and Cytospin
Perform cell count using the hemocytometer on CSFs and BALs and perform manual differential on body fluids using Olympus BX41 Microscope
Set up Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate and set up other tests like Mono, Plavix, Aspirin and PFA
Run urine samples on Iris analyzer and report the results
Performed testing for auto validation on Iris and retested it for EPIC upgrade
Run coagulation samples on ACLTOP and have used BCS XP analyzers prior to ACLTOP
Executed dry-run testing and wet-run testing for Coag analyzer upgrade to ACLTOP
Perform routine maintenance on all analyzers and run Quality Controls.
Assure all the QC failures have been documented properly on Sysmex for CAP inspection

Clinical Chemistry:
Run samples on Vitros and report results in timely manner
