Software Engineering August – December 2021

• Pitched an exercise focused website/app to be made by a group of two entry level web developers (mentored by Elevator3. Similar to https://www.myfitnesspal.com, The focus of the course was to learn about endpoints, controllers, and how a backend works as well as how to specifically us various vital and stylized parts of front end development such as axios calls, various common components, and libraries. • Chosen as Group Leader for intermediate course (mentored by Envoc) for web & mobile app development using MVC 6 and expo to create an e-Commerce website and app using React and React native, CSS, fetch API, while specifically learning/using async functions, essential components of MVC.Net(identity etc.) with Entity Framework Core, and using minimal SQL to produce a Steam like website that sells various software’s to consumers via Azure.

• Assisting with STEM outreach programs, teaching 3D printing, how to use Arduinos, and designing the initial webpage for the program in moqups. • An event with cyber.org, another in which I worked with Southeastern Louisiana University’s Dr. McNulty and Dr. Achee (instructors & department head) in educating various teachers state wide in various aspects cyber literacy and cyber security. To enable them to introduce the same concept to students from grades 8-12. Assisting with the presentations and various events in Southeastern’s IHub. Setting up for multiple 6+ hour programs, ensuring various type of presentation equipment, and a PCVR demonstration was ready (Spring 2022-Fall 2023). Lions Code –

• Taught students, through various projects about coding in python by creating complex programs using the basics of object orient programming to peak their interest in various aspects of coding. Including game design and web development with Dr. McNulty and Dr. Achee.

Computational Aspects of Game Programming August – December 2022

• Learned about Scrum, and partnered with an upper classmen in a gameplay demo while instructed to use agile development methods. I took on 3d modeling, level design, C# scripts, the UI and Menus, player stats, enemy design, combat, particle effects, nav-mesh implementation, death screen, and starter weapons.

• Despite a hurricane (Ida) that disrupted power for a month, we finished the development of our demo of Reskell. A third person shooter in Unity that when complete would be a story based, crashed spaceship colony management survival game. With lectures given by John W. Burris on mostly ethics in design, and accessibility. Head of XR and Game Development August 2022 – Present

• Managed and directed the Virtual Reality Lab at Southeastern Louisiana University. Which included learning how to use VRChat’s SDK for worlds and avatars, Unity’s terrains system, simple interactive scripts, as well as how to develop for WMR, Oculus, and SteamVR devices in Unity’s XR Development kit. Which lead to documentation and training underclassmen to assist with requested projects.

• Consulting with professors and students to create desired interactive experiences for various courses and projects using multiplatform XR equipment(VR).

• Setting up for multiple 4+ hour events and workshops. Requiring familiarity with Meta Quest, Vive, Steam, HP, and other VR devices (hardware and software). As well as constant research on the VR Industry to learn creative ways to incorporate new plugins, devices, and development tools into my skill set. Workshops are typically on modern applications such as training in OBS/Streaming, Unity XR Development, App development, and more. Freelance Game Design May 2023–Present

• During the summer of 2023, I took it upon myself to make an account on Upwork and found myself contracted to make a space station as an interactive player hub for Jade Stems Studio’s game Space Misfits. I was given a model of a large prefab for the outside of a space station and asked to make the interior.

• This included the docks, market areas, scripted elevators, and more from free assets that were edited in blender and placed piece by piece. Which required editing various 3D models and materials before being exported to unity. In which lighting, material adjustment, occlusion, LOD settings, and texture compression followed.

Unity’s Create the Creator Program

• A weekly 3+ hour program in which Unity Certified Instructor Jerry Medeiros reinforced the basics of Unity Development in 2D, 3D, and Mobile development. in preparation for various certifications including: Certified Associate Game Developer, Unity Certified Associate: Artist, and Unity Certified Associate: Programmer.

• This includes their Train the Trainer Program in which I will be instructed and certified to teach everything I learned as a certified Unity Instructor.

• This program is being paid for the Louisiana Economic Development (about $20,000 per participant), I was recommended as a special insert by the Department Head of Computer Science at Southeastern Louisiana University as the only student selected among various professors in Louisiana.
