Processing Orders – Receiving orders from department manager and reviewing them to make sure specific items, quantities, and instructions are verified through the warehouse WMS
(Asana) and manual means.
Inventory Control - Confirming warehouse inventory levels and availability. Picking/Packing /Preparing pallets for shipment – Picking whole pallets and smaller quantities of various product throughout the warehouse in designated storage locations. Quality Control – Inspecting all items to be shipped checking for damage, defects or discrepancies and checking the overall product condition. Documentation/Labeling – Labeling each pallet with correct shipping documentation including packing slips, invoices, customs forms (if applicable) and tracking numbers. Shipping Coordination/Customer Communication – Coordinating with transportation carriers to arrange pickup or drop off by communicating delivery schedules and requirements. Interacting directly with customers with order status updates, inquiries and concerns to assist with any shipping related issues.
Record keeping – Maintaining detailed records of each transaction including order details, inventory movement, shipping documents and communication logs. Safety and Compliance – Prioritizing safety protocols and regulatory compliance in all shipping activities and establishing safety guidelines for transporting and handling product while complying with industry regulations and standards. Receiving all warehouse goods from live loads and containers from dock and preparing for induction to the AutoStore storage system or the conventional storage rack system. AutoStore storage and retrieval system Maintenance tech. Monitoring and working with the maintenance upkeep side of the autostore system as a whole. Daily tasks include, but not limited to:
B1 Robots – Quarterly preventive maintenance and cleaning, replacing worn parts and daily service where needed. Retrieval of robots when physical problems stop their production. The aluminum structural grid – Daily cleaning of foreign debris and dust. Daily observations of the grid structure itself with the possibility of replacement of sections or supports to provide the grid with the structural integrity needed to be in service and use. Operator ports – Relay Port – Carousel port – Conveyor port. These ports required quarterly, monthly, and daily tasks. Cleaning the base and inside the arm areas of the ports. Preventive maintenance and service of port arms and controller. Repair or service of port due to operator or incidental error. Autostore controller –The controller is self sufficient, but needed constant monitoring in that it did not operate outside certain dedicated parameters. The Overview port monitor and robot position monitor – These were monitored constantly while in operation due to the numerous variable actions and situations that needed to be addressed as soon as possible when a downtime occurrence would happen. These allowed the system to be viewed as a whole and would allow me to know what actions were needed. Kuehne & Nagal – Whitestown, IN.
