I started my career at the United States Postal Service on October 19,1973 as a
Distribution Clerk in San Diego, California. I worked various forms of the mail untl 1978.
At that time, I became a Window Clerk dealing with the public until 1985. From 1985
until 2001, I was a Relief Expediter; from 2001 till 2013, I became a full-time Expediter.
My duties included overseeing the movement of the mail within our processing facility
and other facilities as well. I worked by myself and was given rhe opportunity to make
decisions on my own. From 2013 until my retirement on September 1,2020; I was a
Ramp Clerk working as a liaison between the USPS and various commercial air carriers
who carried the mail; including FedEx and UPS. During my career as an Expediter or as
a Ramp Clerk, I worked with different levels of management, both Postal and private, in
making sure the movement of the mail was done in a timely manner.
On November 15,2021; I started working for a company called Ameripac, a company
located in Grapevine, Texas. I worked on several types of hydraulic equipment while
employed there. I operated an Order (Cherry) Picker, Forklift, Reach Forklift, and a
Pallet Truck. Due to a work-related injury, I stopped working at Ameripac on
February 21,2024. Next, I started working at a company based in Houston, Texas; called
Texas Mobile Shrink Wrap on February 22,2024. We can shrink wrap any object, from
boats, to large boilers, large transformers, or even Big Tex, the sixty foot statue at the
Texas State Fair in Dallas. Even though I am techically employed by them, I have not
worked for them since May 9,2024. The job is a seasonal type of work. I am always
willing to take on new challenges, I believe in a strong work ethic. I prefer to be kept
busy, coming to work on time. and working overtime whenever it is needed.
I graduated from Southwestern Junior College with an Associate Degree in Science
in 1974; my major was in Biology. My freshman year was at a small college in
Thousand Oaks, California; the college's name was California Lutheran College at the
time, but later changed their title from college to university, years later.
sincerely,
Paul M. Phillips
