Stock Program for the Day Trader

This program will find stocks that have at least 500,000 trades a day, with a current stock price between two values you set and has more than 10 days within the last month of a daily spread of at least X%, which you set. This program uses MongoDB as well as Yahoo Finance.

2004-2005 Technical Manager and Software Architect Started out as a fresh (they gave me a chance) C programmer and later promoted to lead programmer for Multivision (one of the two platforms in our division). Was the lead support person when production problems occurred (pager cycled through 11 people). Later promoted and given team and management responsibilities. Trained the business consultants on how to create and run reports using Oracle. This was on the Unix Platform.

• Did all interviews for new programmers once I reached Lead Programmer.

• Created most of the TELCO models for credit scoring. (When you apply for a new phone service your credit history is scored with one of my models- hehe).

• Held classes to teach Oracle SQL, report writing and how to run the reports.

• Held Spanish classes for workers all over Alpharetta Equifax who wanted to work with our world-wide division.

• Rotated the pagers (primary and backup) amongst the 11 programmers on my team. I was on the rotation as well as being called in case of major problems.

• Lead liaison with the IBM team who provided our Oracle support.

• Worked with our Oracle support specialist to ensure our databases stayed up and running.

• Worked with the managers of the business consultants to rearrange priorities every Monday morning depending on the needs of the more important customers.

• Trained programmers how to support the system.

• Wrote C/Pro*C programs for the code. Also worked with Oracle writing SQL queries and using crystal reports.

• Used Microsoft project to assign tasks to each programmer

• Worked with the QA department to determine problems in programs delivered by my programmers.

• Evaluated each programmer and assigned tasks to each developer.

• Was one of only 3 tech leads who was responsible for disaster recovery to be able to move to another site in hours in the event of an emergency.
