Test Engineer

As a test engineer, I test the products and created a test plan in a new format with detail orientation for test steps and expected results. I am currently only able to test project on one level and still waiting for accounts on other levels. During the time waiting for ability to access project for testing, I conducted the following: Leidos trainings, Government trainings, learning more about AWS, studying Automai and Leapwork automation applications.

Test Engineer

As a test engineer, I created and updated smoke, regression, validation test plans with steps for testing requirement fulfillment with detail orientation, testing positive and negative to ensure the application only contains the customer’s request. I created issue report when application is not adhering to requirement and recommendation report when requirement is not specified. I conducted smoke testing (generic level test), regression testing (detail level testing), validation testing, and Field-to-Field testing comparing data moved from one system to another is a total match on multiple platforms (ie: unclassified and classified). I ran development scripts on servers for testing each script updates the application correctly and command for copying file to and from AWS s3 buckets. When a large amount of data is necessary for the test, I create an Excel spreadsheet capturing all data in case the information is needed for the developers. Streamed data created/updated in lower application level to higher application level, requiring lower application data, using Linux and AWS.

Worked the stakeholders weekly to discuss application, development, and testing status. Also spoke with them regarding if they had any change requests or if the developers had a request to get approval from the stakeholders. As the Analyst Subject Matter Expert, I executed the development of Graphical User Interface for current C++ system. I conducted application demonstrations to several levels of the Marine Corps. I worked with the Marine Corps gathering requirements and business rules for each site the application is used. I analyzed new requirements/business rules to see if any would have a negative effect on either site. I notified attendees which site could be affected, providing recommendation updates preventing a negative effect on any site. I analyzed the structure and testing of the application communication. I created the following documents with very detailed oriented information: User’s Manual, System Functional Requirements, System Workflow Charts, Test Plans, Weekly Metrics Tracking, Requirements, and Test Case Matrix. I assisted the Lead Analyst in maintaining Software Design Documents, Requirement Trace Matrix, System Workflow Charts, Backup and Restoration Plan, Contingency Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, Interface Requirements Agreement, and System Functional Requirements. I traveled to five Marine Corps sites and conducted the following: Tracked and troubleshooted any issues captured at the location. I trained the Marines on how to use the application, created a Training PowerPoint document, and wrote up a Training Test requested by a leader at one location. After application went into production on a site, I was on-site for support. I trained testers in executing test cases, provided an explanation in different ways when necessary, because individuals learn and interpret in different ways. issues with the application occurred. I assisted developers reading the Java code for finding what is causing an issue. I would setup liaison between Analyst, Testers, and Developers for communicating information. I ran SQL Developer Queries and Script Writing to download data coming from an outside organization. I filled in for CGI Site Representatives providing client server support when necessary.
