I was responsible for making sure that the dogs were feed, their kennels cleaned, that water was available to them at all times, and above all, that they were safe while in our care for the duration of their stay with us. I also maintained the cleanliness of the kennel on a day to day basis; sweeping, mopping, bedding laundry, and the food dishes after feeding times.

I was responsible for slicing the vegetables, prepping the meats, and I was being trained by the manager on how to properly run the shop in event a manager is not available. As customers came in, I was also responsible for the preparation of their orders.

I picked up orders and delivered them to AutoZone’s commercial customers. If no orders were available, I was responsible for organizing the old parts that came in and preparing them for proper disposal.

I gathered names to send into Inner Secretary Harrland for a petition to overturn the wolf killing legislation that had recently been passed by the Idaho-Montana government. In doing so, I built confidence in approaching others and offering my proposals for the project.

I helped with the cleaning and care of the animals that were in the shelter. This included cleaning cages, distribution of food, and giving loving interaction.

Wrote a suggestion letter to Florida Fish and Wildlife, based on my research of the Burmese Python infestation, on a method that may help them humanely deal with these animals. This allowed me to learn effective research skills and how to offer intriguing solutions.
