service and office prenatal care with quarterly meetings among co-residents
Anti-Racism Task Force: Highlighting and exploring racism in medicine to provide patient-centered
equitable, comprehensive care by eliminating practices that result in race-based disparities in
patient experiences, partnering with community organizations to combat marginalizing policies,
implementing staff training, increasing transparency in our performance in racial health disparities
in primary care metrics, and creating an Equity Agenda in our department.

2022-2023 Resident Preceptor. Supervised and provided family medicine education for four residents, until the twenty-year relationship ended between my clinic and their hospital system.
2018-2019 Clinical Skills Teaching Associate. Introduction to Clinical Medicine. Instructed core pre-clinical course for medical students on patient history taking, physical exam skills, and patient-doctor communications.
2018 Student Physician Volunteer, Dominican Republic Medical Mission. Triaged and treated over 500 patients with our interdisciplinary team in remote villages. Provided annual exams through Global Orphanage Project at Casa Amor, a residential ministry for orphaned or abandoned children.
2017-2018 Creator, Kelly Ford Memorial Scholarship. Raised $25,000 for Limestone County students studying STEM after my mentor passed away. Interviewed on WZDX Fox 54 News.
2017-2018 Volunteer, Huntsville Hospital Medical Mission Unit. Provided medical care to several patients with housing instability at Downtown Rescue Mission.
2015- 2018 Senior Grant Coordinator 2016, Equal Access Birmingham. Student-led free clinic that provides continuity of care to for the underserved of Birmingham. Assisted patients in mental health screening, women’s health clinic (OB/GYN Interest Group), and community clinic. Researched and prepared grants for the clinic and assisted in fundraising and planning of Heart and Soul 5K and Silent Auction.
2015- 2018 Medical Students For Choice/ Reproductive Health Association, Officer 2016-2017. Arranged meetings focused on reproductive health, human rights, contraception options, and co-sponsored events with MedPride and OB/GYN Interest Groups. Collaborated with UAB School of Nursing in IUD Placement Training. Organized first UAB medical student Manual Vacuum Aspiration workshop. Attended Family Planning Conference in Phoenix, AZ (2016) and Philadelphia, PA (2017).
2018 Trainee, Abortion Training Institute, Medical Students For Choice. Selected for competitive training in hands-on first and second trimester abortion procedures and physician advocacy workshops.
2014- 2015 Youth Development Counselor/ Good Shepherd Volunteer/ AmeriCorps, Euphrasian Residence, New York, New York. Counseled at-risk teenage girls as they recovered from personal trauma and taught alternative coping mechanisms through therapeutic crisis intervention in a temporary housing setting. Organized field trips, created projects, performed conflict mediation, and tutored. Developed the program’s four tenets: social justice, simplicity, community, and spirituality in this all-encompassing, full-time service year. Experienced a $50 weekly stipend while living in an intentional community of five women. Discovered the importance of self-care in a high demand, high stress environment.
