Commissioning Superintendent
Implemented phased completion and turnover of multiple utility and hydrocarbon systems, utilizing specific testing and sign-off at each phase. Hydrocarbon systems included 42” onshore pipeline, Solar-turbine-driven 56,000 bbl/hr Sulzer pump, 5-run metering skid, and fuel gas supply.
Planned and executed pipe cleaning through water flushing, rapid depressurization blowing, and continuous blowing.
Planned and supervised inerting of existing fuel gas system, tie-in of new fuel gas filter/separator, and nitrogen leak test of modified system.
Planned and supervised flange tightening and final leak test of hydrocarbon piping just prior to introduction of hydrocarbons.
Coordinated utility and hydrocarbon system walk-downs with & turnover to final facility owner.
Conducted Pre-Startup Readiness Review of fire protection system, identified & resolved discrepancies, and placed system into service.
Supervised loading of pigs via temporary launcher, and pigging of 30 km, 42” subsea pipeline.
Supervised operation of external skid to accomplish cleaning and flushing of Solar turbine lube oil, piping and cooler to ISO 14/12 cleanliness.
