Key Career Achievements
Created an interface between two systems to design and implement the calculation of flood component of premiums for WFI Insurance which achieved more accurate charging of flood premiums.
Undertook the programming for the conversion of customer insurance payment methods from upfront to instalments for WFI Insurance which contributed increased business and spread the income evenly across the year.
Led successful design and programming of the rewards and recognition system at Omegatrend which achieved accurate reimbursement based on sales for direct sales/marketing members.
Led the plastic card software for a major bank which at the time was a leading product and technology.

WesTrac CAT

As one of the largest authorised Caterpillar dealers in the world, WesTrac provides customers with a wide array of machinery and construction equipment. With over 3,000 staff nationally and nearly 50 apprentices enrolled in our accredited training institute.
Programmer Analyst
Reporting directly to Information Technology Manager, as a member of a team of about three maintain DBSi software and the interfaces between WesTrac’s DBSi system and the CAT manufacturer in US. The software is mainly in COBOL and RPG and runs on IBMi (AS400) and consists of over a thousand programs and also interfaces with SAP financials. Also involved with Swagger API’s.
Key Achievements
Completed the semi annual price update for parts and maintenance pricing.
Installed half yearly program updates provided by CAT (& Accenture) and applied them to WesTrac specific modifications.

Development Analyst
Reporting directly to the Information Technology Manager, is a member of a team of 20+, working with a remote team in Melbourne,maintaining and developing Insure90 package on iSeries (AS400). RPG programming, analysis and testing of Insurance package.

Technical Support
Reporting directly to Information Technology Manager, was a member of a team of about twenty assisting on the installation of Lawson M3 software on iSeries (AS400). Primary responsibility was to look after all the interfaces between WesTrac’s M3 system and the CAT manufacturer in US.
Key Achievements
Created the interfaces between WesTrac and CAT head office in USA which provided up-to-date stock control and servicing requirements for client’s machinery.

Consultant
Reporting directly to IT Manager, was a member of a team of eight to ten Analysts and Programmers. Maintaining and developing Lansa and Lansa for the Web software to provide critical IT support to our business partners, including a Payroll business, an Agricultural business and a Casino where the primary focus was to provide effective IT solutions to support the effective operation of their businesses. I was also instrumental in securing the contracts at Pfizer and D’Orsogna.
Key Achievements
Obtained the contract and assisted with a successful upgrade of a BPCS (RPGLE) site from version 6.4 to version 8 (on iSeries) – 4 month project, which brought their processing up-to-date
Wrote free format RPG conversion programs for a Pharmaceutical company converting from BPCS (on iSeries) to an inhouse system – 6 month project, which enabled them to convert all their data to the new system.

Omegatrend was a multinational direct marketing company which provided an opportunity for people to build their own, independent direct selling business to enhance their lives so they might improve their world.
Movex (Lawson M3) Java Programmer
Reporting directly to IT Manager. Maintaining and developing Movex Java (release12 - now known as Lawson M3) software for an Australian based multi-level marketing (MLM) company. In a close-knit team of 6 programmers and 4 business analysts (3 of which were Intentia staff) on an iSeries. This position also involved working closely with end-users.

Maintained and developed RPGLE software using a variety of software systems – BOSS warehousing, Cool 2E (Synon) ice cream ingredients/processing, Cool 2E manufacturing, extraction of data for Cognos reporting. Part of a team of 6 analyst/programmers. The software is in RPG and CL running on AS400.

Developed and maintained the transfer of data to an associated refrigeration plant for storage of excess stock in Cool 2E enabling the company to store excess stock externally
