Self employed carpenter and home remodeling

I have been self employed most of my adult life. I am 53 years old. I am a very hard worker and punctual I would like to show my abilities rather then talk about them given a opportunity to show my abilities would be awesome.The construction career is not dependable anymore and there are too many situations out of my control such as weather the cost of materials gas etc.that is why I want to work for a company and not be self employed.thank you
