I’ve shown up every day I’ve been scheduled at least 30 minutes to one hour ahead of my starting time I show up sign in run my pre trip inspection of my tractor pick up dual empty trailers continue with my pre trip inspection and climb back into my truck and do a final air brake inspection of my tractor & trailer.Now I would call dispatch and report my empties and wait for a pin drop and arrive to my destination and swap out a full double trailer for my empties call in to dispatch report the ticket # and trailers #’s and complete my PreTrip Inspection of my trailers and climb back in my truck fasten my seat belt check to see if my air has reached governor cut out if so I proceed with applying my Tug test to ensure my trailer is locked in place fully, I now exit my truck do a thorough walk around making sure lights are all working properly,Glance underneath my front trailer to ensure my kingpin is fully secure it is, now I lift up my trailers legs secure the handle,Call in my tag number and trailers numbers to dispatch and proceed to drive back to woodland .
My my furthest trip has been driving 5 hours down south with a lunch brake and returning with in a 12 hour period I’ve done this for a month strait safely and suffectionly for a month working 7 days a weakwhen required and now I’m doing local runs .I take pride in my work and keep a safe working experience and keeping it enjoyable.
