Worked at a variety of Temporary Positions as a Paralegal Clerk at such Law Firms as Morgan, Lewis and Bockius, O'Melveny and Myers and Crosbey Heafey Roach and May. Such positions were for long term Litigation Cases, often lasting 8 months to a year, with much overtime provided. The work was primarily Collating and Preparing Documents to be used for the

Enrolled in an Accelerated Paralegal Program at the UCLA Extension Center. Three Hour Classes, Five Days Per Week. Topics taught included Environmental, Contract, Intellectual Property. Entertainment, Personal Injury and Criminal Law. Periodic testing and Volunteer Legal Assignments were part of the Program. Earned a Certificate in Paralegal Studies. Worked with Friends and Associates, attempting to build a Portable Audience Meter that could replace the archaic Neilson Ratings Diary, used to determine what Television Programs were being watch, by whom and for how long at a time. This Group interviewed Moguls in the Film, Television, Recording and Radio Industry, attempting to obtain financial backing needed to build a Prototype Meter. Anticipated in the concept was the application of the Meter as a Health Monitor. My role in the Project was to assist with the Interviews and to provide notes to be used during such sessions. Unfortunately, while everyone interviewed agreed that this was a needed Technology, Nobody was willing to fund the Project. DEPUTY PROBATION OFFICER I 03/12/1984 - 12/25/1991 Began working as a Group Supervisor, Nights at Sylmar Juvenile Hall. Made certain all Juveniles were locked in their rooms, and were not attempting to escape or injure themselves. Later worked as a Daytime Detention Services Officer, supervising up to 30 Juveniles in daily activity, such as going to school, participating in Indoor and Outdoor Activity, Showering and Preparing them for the Nighttime Change of Shift. Still later, promoted to Deputy Probation Officer I at one of 15 County Camps for Juvenile Offeners. Duties included Supervision of Large and Small Groups; the activities were similar to those at Juvenile hall. Maintained an Individual Caseload of up to Five Juveniles at a time. Daily Logging of Events was also required.
