Serve as staff assistant to the Associate Provost head of office. OAPPA is the administrative locus for several functions of the SUNY System provost’s office, including: academic program approvals, state authorization reciprocity agreements (SARA), and academic policies relating to assessment, general education, and teacher education. OAPPA interacts regularly with other offices at System Administration, academic leadership of SUNY campuses, accrediting bodies, and the NY State Education Department.
