As a member on a Wild-land fire crew we had safety meetings every morning and we had to listen to and follow specific orders before heading out to a fire . Fighting wild land fires using tools and equipment such as a shovel, Axe, McLeod and a Pulaski. Cleared trails, cut bush to stop fires from spreading. Worked at elevated levels, Had to be alert & aware at all times for me and my crew because our surroundings were dangerous at all times due to burnt trees falling and debris falling on us also for fires that were spreading rapidly.
