OBJECTIVE

To obtain, and continue to learn new skill and be a productive innovative person, both in my home life and my career.

EXPERIENCE

Mainly Long Term Care-being a charge nurse puts one in a position to make decisions and deal with the public informing them of health related issues. I have also worked in a Doctor’s office/clinic, with an emphasis on internal medicine. I have been an LPN for 30+ years. I have been in health care in one way or another since I was 18, with my first MDS position in a brand new Native American facility about 10 years ago.

SKILLS

Team player-working in a clinic/nursing home/long term care facility has taught me the importance of being a team player. Working with others is a must to guarantee quality care. As a clinic nurse, I have been involved in scheduling, minor surgery, giving injections, ordering meds, and phlebotomy. Scheduling required knowledge of diagnosis and procedures being done.

Hard worker-involved in extracurricular activities has taught me the importance of setting priorities in my work and leisure so I can maintain quality performance in all areas. I also raise several litters of Scottish Terriers, and compete in a variety of events.

INTERESTS

I enjoy outdoor activities, gardening, dogs, horses, fishing and sewing. Most of the children are grown, however we have one teenager in the house.
