Transportation Management:
oLed Universal’s TMS efforts, from concept to implementation/execution. Evaluated off-the-shelf and SaaS systems, designed and tested the interface to the legacy system, documented new procedures, and trained dispatchers/carriers. This reduced truckload costs by over 10% per load.
oExecuted organizational changes to align Universal’s fragmented transportation functions.
oCreated and maintained metrics to track all of Universal’s transportation expenditures.
oDeveloped and implemented an in-depth private fleet costing/pricing model for Universal’s trucks.
oConducted load-level analyses on Universal’s $250m transportation network. It resulted in numerous cost-reducing and service-enhancing recommendations, saving Universal over $1.5m.
