06.2021 - Present ForAfrika- Uganda Country Office as the Country Manager
Leading the strategic positioning, development, and implementation of medium to longer-term strategies ForAfrika in collaboration with local governments and other stakeholders in 12 districts.
Managing partnerships with 4 Community-based organizations (CBOs), 12 local governments and non-governmental institutions, bilateral and multilateral financing institutions, and civil society organizations.
Working with 4 Global teams and the Knowledge Centre in managing the utilization of the allocated resources worth 1.5 million Euros to implement country-level programs that resulted in uplifting the livelihoods of targeted Households and Communities.
Supporting the management of human resources of 43 staff, contracting goods and services, and financial management.
Overseeing annual budget preparation, management, and monitoring of expenditures in line with the organization's policies.
Coordinating with 7 affiliate global offices, based in the UK, Germany, SWISS, USA, Canada, South Africa, and Norway 06.2020 – 06.2021 Action Against Hunger as Head of Department Food Security and Resilience ACF-Uganda Country Office
Promoted and supported the integrated programming based on the Action Against Hunger Nutrition Security framework and Country strategy across 2 departments of food security and resilience and nutrition.
Provided guidance in Program Proposal development, and implementation, and organizational support to 4 field level offices in terms of capacity building of the FSLR team and Action Against Hunger and internal and external representation and coordination.
Acted as the deputy country director and head of operations for six months, as the organization was looking for a replacement for the Deputy Country Director.
06.2019 – 06.2020 Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) As Program Manager Resilient Livelihoods
Led the implementation of 14 resilient livelihood projects across the country funded by different donors in ensuring that procurement plans and reports were submitted on a timely basis, as required by VSO standard operating procedures.
Developed realistic project plans and budgets for the 14 projects under the food security and resilience programs and ensured that volunteers, staff, and funding were allocated appropriately and achieved value for money. 12.2018 – 06.2019 Mercy Corps as Program Manager for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) Development:
Provided an oversight role to 8 staff and program management, in terms of coordinating the team, and implementing the program activities, in line with the program budget and within the agreed time frame.
Established and maintained 4 productive working relationships with local government officials in 4 districts to monitor project activities in the target areas.
Coordinated 2 departments - operations to ensure operational systems are in place to support field activities including logistics
