Military Police Investigator
U.S. Army
Hopkinsville, Kentucky, United States
As a private (E1) when i enlisted I went to basic training to learn basic military knowledge and to physically get into military condition and acclimate to military life in general. After graduating basic training I went to AIT (advanced individual training) this is to learn the basics of the job field you will be performing once you reach your permanent party station (the base you will be sent for a set amount of time as a soilder just getting out of training) at this time during training you cram what is normally a 6 month training course into 12 weeks. Then upon graduating ait you go to base you'll be stationed at and begin your career in the army while getting the majority of real world training (ojt) on the job training. after 2 years I requested and was granted the upgrade of MPI (military police investigator) this is what I spent the first 10 years of my career doing then I applied to reclass as what used to be 91A now 91B combat medic. I did this for 2 years then requested recertification as a MPI. This was for several reasons one is to build more promotion points as well as having training in multiple occupations that transfer into skills for a career in the civilian sector. I then applied for acceptance into ranger school to see if I could me it . Which I did then was assigned to 1st of the 75th ranger regimate I spent 4 years as a sniper in the rangers. then reclassed and went back into military police investigator where I remained till retirement.
