Re: Chief Medical Officer of Population Health Position
Dear Ms. McElroy,
I wish to express my interest in applying for the position of the Chief Medical Officer of Population Health. I am a former CMO in the Jefferson Health organization seeking to secure a position utilizing my skill sets at a system level. My experience in both clinical care as well as medical leadership has created a unique breadth of perspective from newborn nurseries and home settings to long-term care facilities, office, hospital, and boardroom settings. I am fortunate to have been trained in system-based approaches such as Six Sigma Methodology as well as Crew Resource Management.
A few areas of achievement during my tenure include:
0.9% Length of Stay reduction in the inpatient setting;
Reduction in Hospital Readmission Rates from 24% to 14% from the long-term care setting; and
Instituted Evidence Based Care Guidelines in partnership with the medical staff to reduce medical errors and infections.
My leadership style would be best described as collaborative. One of my strengths is helping others reach their potential and maximize their performance. Two of my preferred applied principles in management are Just Culture and the hotel industry platform, Manage Up.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please don’t hesitate to email or phone me. I appreciate your consideration.
Sincerely,
Michelle Eisenhower, MD
