While answering incoming phone calls, helping all customers that walked in and assisting with anything that needed to be done in the daily running of an insurance business, I built a very profitable book of business, specializing in farming and auto insurance. I began the auto book from scratch and grew to a large premium, low-loss, high-yielding base. Also while there I served on the MICAI board of directors to help make sure mutual companies are treated fairly in the mainstream market.
