The Casing Crew-Maysville, OK

As a caser we run casings down hole for oil rig. The job starts off by rigging up our equipments, right after we start to run casings making sure our equipments make up the right torque for each casings we run. Depending on the job (which usually spans from 2 to 24 hours), we then rotate to make sure everyone has enough rest to continue the job. After completing the last casing we then rig down and make sure all equipments are accounted for.

Cleaned casings before drilling, cleaning with solvent and making sure that the area was clean after the fact. As a laborer we make sure we have all the racks balanced out for an easier roll for the casings. As the casings are on the racks we then split up into 3 teams, each team doing different tasks. One team will clean one of the casing (pin end), another team cleaning the other side (box end) and a team drifting the casings making sure there is no dents in the pipes. After cleaning is done we then take measurements of all the casings to complete the job.
