-Public Safety Committee staffing to convey pertinent budget detail and clarifying outstanding issues related to the Police, State’s Attorney’s Office, Fire and Rescue, the Circuit Court, and Office of Consumer Affairs Departments.
-Appointed by the County Executive to the Women’s Human Trafficking Committee, victim support advocacy.
-Organized more than 12 parades, focusing on seasonal themes representative of the area and community. Coordinated volunteers, vehicles, decorative details, sourcing local partners and businesses to assist with reelection campaigns giving each an opportunity to advertise for increased business awareness.
-Utilizing strategic planning and engaging content creating audience engagement, managed social media accounts starting from zero follows, growing them to over 4,000 followers on Facebook and over 7,000 on X.
-Consistent social media and county website updates to promote public local events and to highlight the Council’s activities and committee agendas such as state funding for Blueprint for Maryland Public Schools, Montgomery College’s IgnITeHub project to advance access to STEM/IT careers for underrepresented students while promoting local entrepreneurship and the county’s Healthy Meals Initiative.
-During covid, updated the community related to all county, state, and federal information, assisted with the preparation of a list of county-wide food distribution sites.
