● Manage Geotechnical and Materials Engineering Division’s Materials Laboratory overseeing a staff of 37 employees and attending various task force meetings.

● Develop project plans, defining objectives, determining project scope, estimating costs, tracking expenses and creating schedules.
● Field Observer collaborating with Caltrans and working closely with various County Road and Stormwater Maintenance yards evaluating debated issues, roadway projects, construction materials and new products for the Department used on County projects determining their suitability or equivalency to previously approved products. These materials include Portland cement concrete, Asphalt Concrete, epoxy, admixtures, and other materials.
● Perform field visits to identify streets with Low Pavement Condition Index (PCI) for future crack sealing and repairs. Provide pavement recommendations for County and contract cities’ projects and ensure quality control and workmanship of newly completed roadway projects.

●Train Engineering Testing Aid staff on Ground PenetratingRadar and Deflectometer testing methods to determine the appropriate core locations and pavement adequacy respectively.
