Stay at Home Mom
Reed Household - Fayetteville, NC
February 2006 to April 2014
Responsibilities
I am responsible for the daily care of my two children, ages 8 and 5. I perform every duty involved in raising them as well as taking care of a household, but I do not bring in a paycheck. However, I do manage the money their father brings home, entailing creating a budget and bill paying. Being a stay at home mom involves many duties but I tackle them daily.
Accomplishments
I have raised two smart and beautiful children who are successful students and on their way to being even better adults. I actually studied to become a teacher and I minored in psychology. This has helped me greatly in rearing my kids and I am grateful for the experience. Skills Used
Almost every skill imaginable. Patience and understanding are the most influential. Volunteer Coordinator
J.W. Coon PTA - Fayetteville, NC
August 2012 to June 2013
Responsibilities
I was PTA secretary but became the president by the end of the year. I was responsible for keeping records of our meetings, putting together and volunteering for school functions, and attending school meetings involving the workings of the school itself. As president I had to research and implement fundraisers, work closely with school staff towards common goals, keep track of spending and budget issues, and effectively communicate with other members of the PTA. I also spent time with the students, teachers, and staff, and provided rewards and recognition for their accomplishments and hard work. Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment during this time, above raising money for the school, was doing a Christmas shop for the kids. There was not much money made off of this fundraiser, but being able to provide the children with a sense of pride through buying gifts for their family was priceless. Myself, along with other PTA officers and volunteers, helped the students budget and shop so they could leave with smiles on their faces. It was great!
